Art, International Law and Professional Ethics

This Sunday Sebastian Cupido will give a short lecture on how art can be used within the context of international law and what art can show us about law in general. The professional world of the lawyer and the professional world of the artist are in some sense the same, for both worlds are creating meaning and value by using a system of symbolic representation and a structure of authority. Furthermore we will touch upon the topic of a professional ethics in relation to creating works of art (or law) in public space.
Sebastian Cupido (1975) currently works as a lecturer in law and policy at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
